Webbie Arrested On Battery And Robbery Charges After Allegedly Kicking Woman Down Flight Of Stairs

Louisiana rapper Webbie has gotten himself into some hot water after an incident at the Chase Suites Hotel in Baton Rouge the other night.

Webbie was arrested on September 12, 2012 around 2:30 a.m on charges of simple battery and simple robbery after being accused by a woman at the party of kicking her down two sets of stairs and taking $340 from her purse.

A rep for Webbie tells TMZ, the rapper met the woman behind the accusations at a party that night but he never attacked her, or stole her money.

The rep admits Webbie took money from the woman’s purse — but insists the money is his … and the woman in question had stolen it from him.

Webbie was released yesterday on $9,000 bond and plans to fight the accusations according to his rep.
