St. Louis police officers recently called for disciplinary action from the NFL for five St. Louis Rams players who gestured “hands up, don’t shoot” in honor of the protestors in Ferguson. However, the NFL refused to discipline the players. “Discipline them how? Make them play for the Rams?” asked Goodell.
Goodell went on to tell the police that “maybe we should shoot the players because that really seems to work wonders for you guys.”
Kenny Britt, one of the five players who made the gesture, said he had no previous knowledge before going out on the field stating that he didn’t actually know what was going on and in his own words, “just saw four other black men beside me with their hands in the air and just assumed we were under arrest.”
