Mayweather on Pacquiao Fight “I Promise a Knockout in 5 Rounds or less”

There’s more buzz from the upcoming bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao as Mayweather ran his mouth again guaranteeing a knock-out by the fifth round based upon a somewhat strange strain of logic.

Mayweather stated, “look, if Marquez knocked Pacquiao out like that in the sixth, then I guarantee I’ll have him out by the fifth because I beat Marquez like a Slave. He’s not getting up, Jim. He’s not getting up.”
Mayweather then went on to discuss his plans to retire after the bout has successfully sucked a good portion of the global economy into the pockets of both he and Pacquiao in which the two men will become like gods which the rest of humanity will have to answer to if they want to live since all wealth will be placed into the hands of two men who beat each other up for twenty-something minutes.

    Mayweathers mental capability inside the ring is higher than manny..well..manny’s fists are stronger than floyd maybe.. so if we analyze it..brain is higher than the fists.I go for floyd..48-0.he might just retire undefeated…

    Marquez is the only fighter whom Mayweather beat better than Manny.. But who can forget these:

    Manny beat Hatton in 2 rounds while Floyd needed 10 (or 11) rounds
    Manny beat dela Hoya in 9 rounds while Floyd won by split decision
    Pacman beat Cotto in 11 rounds and Floyd won on UD

    So Floyd’s claim on sole basis of his victory against Marquez, really, means nothing..

    i’m a big fight fan. I look at things in an even perspective. Mayweather will be the most dangerous opponent not only of Manny but of whoever he faces. He is ring savvy and maybe the best defensive fighter I have seen. He definitely will be on an advantage not taking into account that the fight will be on his home base Las Vegas. However, I am first and foremost a Filipino. Even if Manny is the underdog, I will still bet on Manny and root for him to win. Mind you…. he is the one and only 8th division champ in the whole history of boxing. Now that in itself bodes formidable even to a guy like Mayweather.

    Heredia will try and give Floyd what he gave Marquez..Floyd is cheating this fight and although he has not knocked anyone out since 2007 not including the sucker punch Mayweathers and his fans including Roy Jones Jr are saying this knockout power has always been there which is BS. They are trying to justify his new power and USADA are an absolute joke.

    How can he do that to Manny? The last time He knockout opponnentsi is when He fought Victor Ortiz. Yah….what a Bogus win? Alright so the Promise is probably based on the Tandems promise of something from Heredia and Ariza? Like when Marquez all of sudden became Superman and knocked Out Manny cold. Whatever the promise is it should be scary to us Fans. No one should get hurt seriously.

    Manny is a short Guy but he has 7.5 inch fist atypical bigger than Floyd, so let’s not get carried away by the promise ’cause it might be the other way around.

    Huh…How can he do that? Floyd haven’t knockout any one for years unless He was guaranteed by Heredia a magic Bullet like the Superman Marquez of the Pacquiao-Marquez 4th fight where he knockout out Pacquiao cold. But there is a risk involved and Floyd should realized that and he’ll lose a lot if found positive.
    Guaranteed though, Manny can take and He should be prepared of what he can received from Manny Pacquiao. The Pacman is the same fighter he avoided for six and half years when he went into hiding to avoid the fight Floyd should be thinking if He will be knockdown and the subsequently KO’d. Will he be able to take the loss? How about the believers or the fans who got fooled by the constant Hype of the TMT!

    Mayweather is no doubt a good boxer and my favourite for the fight between him and Pacquio but I don’t think one can promise knock outs in boxing. I still remember the day James Buster Douglas Knocked Out Mike Tyson. so Mayweather should keep calm and fight Pacquio.

    PROMISE is a heavy word specially coming from Floyd Mayweather Jr. His quietness and calmness he showed at the press comference showed his seriousness to this fight. It’s like saying “No more bullshit”. I think it’s going to be a totally different Mayweather come May 2.

        Mayweather is aware of what Manny is capable and his intend to do when the first belli ring that would make him fight differently.
        He will find certain types of adjustments in order to win. Manny is different from the other 47.
